Join Local Events to Celebrate Storytelling

Taking time to feed our creativity and well-being is essential now more than ever. As we attend to activities important to us, our loved ones and our futures, we must also find moments to be good to ourselves. For me, reading, writing and sharing my own work fill those moments, augmented by quiet walks outdoors. Oh, and laughing with my grand. I am excited at the opportunity to be in community with fellow writers and book lovers as we (sometimes wearily) move into 2025. I hope you will tune in or join me at the following events:

KBOO RADIO INTERVIEW
Once Upon a Time – the Power of Autobiography on KBOO 90.7 fm with Consuelo., Friday, Feb. 14 at 7 pm

Yes, it is airing on Valentine’s Day. It was, in fact, on Valentine’s Day (also Oregon’s Birthday) when I had the opportunity to share My Music Man at our Salem Capitol. And what a perfect day to also talk about about Mom. (The recording will be available in case you have other plans with your own special Valentine.) I’m excited to chat with Consuelo to discuss my writing journey, From First Breath to Last…and whatever other questions she puts before me. Listeners are encouraged to phone in. I’m thrilled to support community radio and can’t help but think back to my grandfather who regularly provided radio “book chats” on Portland’s KXL.

READ LOCAL AUTHOR FAIR
West Linn Public Library, Sat., March 1 from 12-2 pm

Yes, it’s been an oft repeated message how much I adore libraries. And our West Linn Public Library holds a special place for me, memories of taking my kids to story hour, picking up books for Dad and wandering the stacks with Mom. I appreciate their support toward me, my books and writing, and that of other local authors. Can’t wait to see authors I know and meet others I’ve not yet met before. Thank you West Linn Public Library! I will have all four of my books for sale.

THE POWER OF WRITING STORY
West Linn Adult Community Center, Wed., March 18 from 1:00-2:15 pm

Did you know March 14, 2025 is National Write Your Story Day? Because…yes, stories matter. Join me at the West Linn Adult Community Center for a workshop to delve into just that. Stay tuned for more details and although no cost, registration is requested.

Want to learn a bit more about those books I’ve written? Check them out.
