Releasing My Music Man, the Audiobook!

Just hanging out in my closet, reading to myself.

Yes, for some time I’ve wanted to narrate an audiobook version of My Music Man. Several of the first readers of this book, when it was released in 2017, told me it felt like they had been in conversation with me while they read. Others asked if My Music Man (and my other books) were yet available in audio form. Yes, audiobooks are wonderful to listen to. I hadn’t been an audiobook fan until recently; nearly forcing myself at first, recalling Mom making her abrupt entry into audio platform appreciation as her vision failed. Now I understand the beauty of the experience, even listening to books I’ve read before.

Last year as I recognized my professional journey had come to an end, I discovered I had more time than I remember ever having in my adult life to focus on writing. So, I finished my soon to release novel (A Map of Her Own) and recorded an audiobook. (Actually, while I was at it, I recorded several of my books, but we’ll see about those later.) Thank you to my friend, author Ron Turker (author of The Wandering Jew of St. Salacious), for lending me his recording equipment. By the way, if you haven’t yet read Ron’s book, I highly recommend it. Finally, I appreciate Krystyn Pixton for her assistance in the final editing of my book. I’m certain it would not be of the quality it is without her!
